Example 3

This example uses HbVar (a database of human hemoglobin variants and thalassemias) to search for candidate mutations for a patient of Russian heritage with an Hb level between 8.6 and 9.5 g/dL. This is a low range, indicating anemia; normal Hb levels are in the range 12-18 g/dL.

From the HbVar query page, open the Hematology section by clicking on the word "Hematology". Then fill in the Hb level criteria as shown below, and click the "Submit Query" button.
